The very talented sisters Joyce and Isobel Morris set up Tamborine Pottery which produced very attractive art pottery. This bowl is decorated with native girls on a tropical beach. In excellent undamaged condition, diameter 17cm and height 5cm. The pottery produced by the Morris Sisters is indicative of art wares produced around Australia at the time, pairing identifiably Australian sources of inspiration (gum nuts, Eucalyptus leaves, and Aboriginal motifs) with streamlined, functional shapes.
