He designed many large figures and figure groups, also fountains, items of garden statuary, busts and portrait medallions in both stoneware and terracotta.Broad was a versatile & prolific artist, equally at home with large or small works. His merits failed to receive the full recognition they deserved during his lifetime, mainly because he was over-shadowed by George Tinworth's fame. A beautiful piece with hand-painted apple decoration. Painted on a'Slaters Patent' cream ground. The handle of the serving spoon has an old stapled repair.
